This Master's track offers the chance to reflect on research topics such as:
- searching for variation of fundamental constants
- tests of QED
- ultracold quantum gases
- unravelling the mechanism of photosynthesis
- single-molecule cell-level biophysics
- improving techniques of biomedical physics
The programme is firmly embedded in the research of the Amsterdam Institute for Laser Sciences and Biophotonics (VU Physics and VU/UvA Chemistry) and is offered as a programme within the MSc Chemistry as well. Four study-paths are offered, two in Physics and two in Chemistry. Students with a Bachelor's degree in Physics can select either the ‘Life & Health' or the ‘Light & Matter' path.
