Accreditation

Quality assurance, accreditation and degrees

Through systematic and periodic comparison and evaluation, both the UvA and the VU University Amsterdam ensure that their educational programmes, meet national and international standards. Peer reviews and evaluations are at the core of the university's system of quality assurance, in which students, academic staff, alumni and (future) employers of graduates are closely involved.

All study programmes are assessed and evaluated on the following components:

  • Education
  • Curriculum (students, employers, organisation)
  • Programme in (inter)national perspective (comparability)
  • Student counselling
  • Enrolment
  • Personnel
  • Student satisfaction
  • Programme effectiveness
  • Examination
  • Developments on the labour market
